SIMILARITIES BETWEEN THE 4024 AND THE 5030

An important feature of the John Deere PowerTech engines is that both are block built with dry cylinder liners, which makes them more robust than their counterpart, wet liners. Dry liners are relatively thinner than wet liners. The dry liner is not in direct contact with the coolant, but protects the piston from wear and impurities. Both John Deere engines also share components such as piston set, intake and exhaust valves, bearings…

The evolution in emissions is remarkable in both series, with early models meeting Tier 2 approval and late models meeting Tier 2 and 3 regulations.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE 4024 AND 5030

However, both John Deere PowerTech engines differ in power and specific applications. While the 4024 excels in agricultural and small construction machinery, the 5030, with its greater power, is designed for more demanding applications.
